Ribe Skull Fragment Charm Against Headaches

Back in the day dwarves god blamed from many ills including headaches. It was common to say "I've got dwarves hammering in my head" This charm is featured on a human skull fragment found in Ribe, Denmark and is though to date to around 725AD

An amulet asking the gods for relieve from pain caused by those pesky dwarves.

The inscription reads: ᚢᛚᚠᚢᛦᛡᚢᚴᚢᚦᛁᚾᛡᚢᚴᚺᚢᛏᛁᚢᛦ ᚺᛁᛡᛚᛒᛒᚢᚱᛁᚾᛋᚢᛁᚦᛦ ᚦᛡᛁᛗᛏᚢᛁᛡᚱᚴᛁᛡᚢᚴᛏᚢᛁᚱᚴᚢᚾᛁᚢ

Ulfʀ auk Ōðinn auk Hō-Tīwʀ. Hiālp burin's viðʀ þæim dværgi auk dværgyniu Bōur.
